April's Monthly Stand Strong Coalition meeting is scheduled to be another great learning opportunity for parents and community members alike.
On Thursday, April 14th, Stand Strong Coalition is excited to host special guest speaker, Maggie Dunne and her topic of discussion, the "Unintended Price of Privilege and Your Teen."
Parents will walk-away with resources and information that will start them on the path of ensuring success and high social economic standing does not become a detriment to the health and well being of their developing teen (connection, attachment, self-harm, substance use, etc.). The science, treatment experience and supporting information will be available at the meeting.
Maggie has more than 25 years experience treating mental illness and the last 16 years specializing in working with teens. Maggie holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Northern Illinois University, a Master’s Degree from Roosevelt University, and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor in the State of Illinois. She is an expert in the treatment of anxiety, depression, stress management, communication and conflict resolution.
Guest Speaker credentials: Maggie Dunne, LCPC, CADC Director of Clinical Services, EDGE Counseling Solutions.
All community members are encouraged to attend.

In support of Stand Strong Coalition’s goal to keep adult community members informed, we’re looking forward to March’s Monthly Meeting with special guest, Detective Eric Kaechele, from the Lake County Sheriff’s Gang Task Force. Detective Kaechele will share relevant issues the Task Force regularly faces in our community, as well as the terminology (street names/youth jargon) used, the dangers our kids are exposed to, and more importantly, the tell-tale signs of someone in trouble. Information that no doubt any parent and community member committed to staying informed will greatly appreciate.
The meeting is scheduled on Thursday, March 10th - 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Village of Lincolnshire
Stand Strong Coalition Monthly Meetings are always open to parents, community members, businesses, local, state, and government officials. Your participation is encouraged and volunteers are always welcome.
